We are a very small guild in a very small town. We are in the far north east corner of California (five miles from Nevada and 30 miles from Oregon.) We have approximately 20 members. We meet on the third Saturday of the month and sew. We are 100 miles to the nearest quilt store (Merrill, Oregon -- Tater Patch) and 180 miles to Reno and 150 miles to Redding. A trip to a quilt store is an all day trip for us -- which is the good news because it also includes lunch!!

I know it is confusing that we are the Oroville Piecemaker in Oroville when our address and physical meeting place is in Palermo. The guild orignated in Oroville and has kept the name. (Most of our members live in Oroville) Palermo is a tiny area on the outskirts of Oroville and when you are looking for us on the map, before Mapquest and GPS there was a better chance of finding Oroville than Palermo.
