African Night and Day
Made with African fabrics, this quilt creates drama with its black front and white back. The fabrics were brought back from South Africa many years ago by my generous mentor, Maurine Noble.
Maurine was a pioneer in machine quilting at a time when a quilts stitched by machine was not considered acceptable. She wrote the classic book, Machine Quilting Made Easy, and taught classes around the world.
I love having Maurine in my life. Not only has she shared her wonderful fabrics with me, her gift for teaching inspires me and many others.
