Our Dreams
The back of this quilt was done in muslin with an appliqued star. On the star I wrote the ending from W.B. Yeats poem, "He wishes for the Cloths of Heaven":
"I have spread my dreams under
your feet; Tread softly for you
tread upon my dreams."
The pieced pattern for this quilt is credited to, Canyon Creek Fabrics. The name of the pattern is Evening Star.
This was the very first quilt I ever made (without even knowing how to quilt). It's a wall-hanging and was a gift for my sister and her husband's wedding. I wanted to make them something that would last a lifetime and be very special. At her bridal shower, I had all of the ladies sign the back with words of wisdom for being married.
I put all of my heart into this piece. While it was a difficult pattern, it made me fall in love with quilting. Now I can't stop. I'm always looking for an excuse to quilt!
